The Future of Collaborative is in Our Hands

The Future of Collaborative is in Our Hands

From the desk of My Collaborative Team President, Edward S. Sachs, ACP

Ask yourself the following question:  How did I find out about Collaborative and what got me involved in this incredible movement?

For some of us, we were invited to a Collaborative event.  I remember being invited to a three-hour introductory training course at Rosemarie Roth’s office.  Rosemarie was one of the founders of the movement in the State of Florida.  Many Collaborative professionals in South Florida will tell you they were invited to lunch by Bob Merlin to hear about this new way of doing divorce.

Very few of us just stumbled upon the Collaborative Process.  Someone gave us a reason for looking into this amazing new way of helping families through a very difficult time in their lives.

For those of us fortunate enough to have gotten this invitation, it has been life changing.

Now it is time to pay it forward.  The future success of the Collaborative movement depends on the continual addition of new lawyers, mental health professionals and financial professionals to the ranks of transformed divorce professionals who care more about the future of our clients and their families then “winning in court.”

The success of Collaborative is up to each and every one of us.  Take a colleague to lunch.  Tell them how this Process has transformed your practice and your life.  Let them see how great the Collaborative world is.  Invite them to a webinar or a Collaborative event.  Maybe even offer to pay for their registration.  Bring them to an MCT Friday Happy Hour.  Encourage them to get trained.  Consider investing time and even money on a young professional or college student.

Many of us spend thousands of dollars promoting ourselves for the purpose of getting more business.  What if you invested a thousand dollars getting two new professionals trained.  What better source of getting new business could you possibly buy?

At My Collaborative Team we are ready to put our money into the investment of new professionals.  If you have a new professional that you are willing to invest in and pay for their training, we will pay the first $100 of the training and give the professional a one-year membership in MCT.  To take us up on this offer, contact our Marketing Director Eric Sachs at webmaster@mycollaborativeteam.com.
