Is Collaborative Growing? Should we Re-access?

Last week I raised the question of whether we should just be promoting the Collaborative Process or should we broaden our scope as Peacemakers. Maybe we should be promoting our Collaborative skills and how they can lead to settlement despite the Process.

Many of us have thriving Peacemaker practices., but our practices are a mixed bag of Collaborative, Cooperative, Mediation and Consulting. We use our Collaborative skills but are flexible with how we achieve success in our cases. The Peacemaker world is not a one size fits all world.

Is your Collaborative Practice Group thriving? Are you seeing increased membership? Are we training new Collaborative professionals in droves or drips and drabs? Do you see new faces at advanced trainings or is it the same people? IS COLLABORATIVE GROWING?

I want to commend everyone who participated in Divorce With Respect Week. While we may not see immediate results the underlying premise to create public awareness is noble. But is that enough?

Maybe it is time to open discussions on expanding our world to a Peacemaking Process. That Process should embrace all forms of settling matters without the use of Courts.
