Dear Collaborative Professional:
Over the past twenty-three months My Collaborative Team has begun to attain brand name awareness and recognition in both the lay and professional domains. Our website is reaching increasing SEO traction and we have had, from the beginning, a solid social media presence. Despite all our efforts to date our initial concept has not seemed to gel with the public and is misunderstood in the Collaborative professional world as a restricted practice group.
The one big success has been our newsletter.
We have grown our mailing list to include over 8,000 lay and professional recipients and we continue to grow it on a weekly basis by adding additional recipients from Florida Bar lists.
The newsletter has been distributed, in its current form, weekly since June 6, 2018. After the first 9 issues our average open rate is 16.27% with an average of 40 clicks per newsletter. A click means an individual went to our website from the newsletter.
For these reasons, along with the recent change in the Florida Bar Rules regarding Referrals, Directories and Pooled Advertising, we have decided to become a Qualifying Provider under Florida Bar Rule 4- 7.22(b)(3), publishing in any media a listing of lawyers together in one place. We will continue our current budget of spending on SEO and social media including the newsletter. However, our main focus will be the newsletter.
We have not been, and will not be, a Practice Group. We will be a Collaborative Professional Newsletter, Website and Directory.
Collaborative professionals will be invited to join as non-voting Participating Collaborative Professionals (PCP). The only eligibility requirement for Participating Professionals is that you must be a member in good standing of a local Practice Group recognized by FACP.
Participating at $150 per year a PCP gets a listing on our website, MyCollaborativeteam.com.
Participating at $250 per year a PCP gets a listing on our web site AND "feature member" listing on the newsletter two times during the year.
The purpose of MCT is to promote Collaborative, therefore our entire budget is dedicated to marketing.
Below is a sample of the updated layout for our newsletter. By clicking on our "Participating Professionals" button the visitor will be directed to the Participating Professionals pages on our website at MyCollaborativeTeam.com.
These lists will be grouped by region. We will build PCP pages by region just like Practice Group member pages. When we refer to regions, South Florida will be our first region, and as interest continues to build we anticipate moving north soon.
In addition, any participating PCP, at either level, may submit an article of specific length, once per quarter, for publishing, along with your picture and link to your web site, as the lead article of the newsletter (subject to Editorial Board guidelines, review and approval).
We invite you to be a part of this new marketing opportunity. We look forward to growing My Collaborative Team, allowing us the opportunity to advertise throughout your region.
Also, look for MCT to adopt a fixed fee program in the next few months. Join us as we endeavor to make Collaborative the norm.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact either of us. If you wish to join MCT send your check payable to My Collaborative Team to the address below. Please be sure and provide us your complete contact information for your listing, including your Florida Bar number, if applicable.
Collaboratively yours,
My Collaborative Team
