It was March 27, 2020 that we gave birth to CollaBARate Happy Hour. COVID was going strong and the Collaborative community needed an outlet to gather, to discuss and to enjoy each other’s company. We had over 75 professionals from across North America on that very first Friday Happy Hour.
At the time, it was really great to see so many of our colleagues. We heard stories of how everyone was adapting to quarantine, things they were doing to keep busy, how they were continuing their Collaborative practices, what foods they were cooking, what games they were playing and much more.
COVID came and went, but Happy Hour was so popular that it continued. Now we celebrate our 5th birthday.
One of the things we have learned from My Collaborative Team marketing trainings and blogs is that we must always revisit our business and marketing plans. We must keep them fresh and adjust when needed.
So, we are taking a bit of our own medicine. While Happy Hour is just as popular as it was on that first Friday in 2020, our attendance was down. We tried holding a few Thursday sessions and new people showed up, old friends came back and most of our regulars were there. Most agreed that Thursday was a better day.
Happy Hours will now be on Thursdays at 4:30 Eastern. Same great discussions, same great resources and fun with your colleagues. We look forward to seeing you on Thursdays for at least the next five years.
