Throughout my many years of marketing the Collaborative Process the focus has mostly been on how the Process is most beneficial for the families involved, and while that is mostly true, the benefits to practicing professionals can be life changing. We are living in a world where employees and workers are looking for flexibility in their schedule and most importantly, a work-life balance that makes sense. The traditional 40-hour work week is becoming a thing of the past and adjusting to these times is not only beneficial for those who we serve, but also for ourselves and those we may employ.
The Collaborative Process is not only beneficial for the families we serve but also the professionals who practice Collaboratively. As a practicing Collaborative professional, you get to set your own work schedule. No longer do you have to be at the mercy of a court schedule dictating where and when you must be somewhere. No more sitting around a courtroom waiting to be an expert witness in a case, only not to be called to the stand. The Collaborative Process is THE PROCESS for our 21st century lifestyles. As much as it is preached that the Collaborative Process is beneficial for the families we serve, it is also beneficial and the most realistic process for the lives many of us as professionals want to live.
