The following is from My Collaborative Team Member, Mark Soboslai.
I first made a connection with My Collaborative Team (MCT) in March, 2020 around the time when the weekly Friday afternoon “Happy Hour” meetings began. My immediate first impression was that this was an extraordinary group of warm, welcoming collaborative professionals. I’ve been pleasantly surprised to “meet“ each week with multiple collaborative lawyers, mental health professionals, financial professionals, and others from multiple states in the the US, Canada and elsewhere. The tone of these Friday afternoon conversations is casual and comfortable while simultaneously serious and sophisticated. The entire group demonstrates a remarkable level of interest and concern to listen, explore, and discuss any real-life, practical issue that might be raised for discussion regarding collaborative practice. MCT has a proven track record of supporting and encouraging collaborative professionals from all backgrounds and professional disciplines to continually develop, learn and grow personally and professionally. This includes: partnering with exceptional collaborative education and training providers; creating and presenting valuable educational programs throughout the US; participating in the International Academy’s annual Forums; and helping individual practitioners to market and grow their practices. My practice happens to be located in Connecticut and I continue to benefit both personally and professionally from my involvement in this exemplary collaborative “community.”
If you are tired of Zoom by the end of the week, show off your expertise and establish yourself as a leader in your community by writing some blogs. Getting published online is a fantastic way to grow your reputation amongst the public and professionals. My Collaborative Team is always happy to publish blogs by members and non-members. All submitted blogs are posted to the My Collaborative Team website, that gets over 3,000 unique hits per month, and published in our newsletter to more than 15,000 family law related professionals across the world.
The most important thing to remember is to never give up. Start with one marketing avenue and become a master at it before adding more to your plate. My Collaborative Team and the entire peacemaking community is here to ensure your success in the Collaborative world, but it’s up to you to reach out for the assistance you may need.
