Rachel Klastorin Samek is an experienced Collaborative family law attorney with over twelve years of exclusive family law experience. Ms. Samek’s practice focuses exclusively in family law, including Dissolutions of Marriage, Paternity Matters, Parenting Plans, Pre-Nuptial Agreements, Post-Nuptial Agreements, and Family Mediation. Ms. Samek is additionally a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator.
Ms. Samek strives to approach all of her cases in a cooperative, mediated and/or collaborative manner, and finds this approach provides clients with an opportunity to maintain a relationship with other family members during and after the case, allows parents to communicate more effectively with each other about their child(ren), and additionally keeps costs down as compared to litigation.
Ms. Samek received a Bachelor of Arts degree in both psychology and sociology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2002 and a Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center in 2007. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Samek served as a staff member of the United States Congress Joint Economic Committee in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Samek is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, is the Chair of the Downtown POD and an active member of the Collaborative Family Law Institute (CFLI), and has been named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers.
Outside of her practice, Ms. Samek is very active in the community through her roles on the Miami Beach JCC Board of Directors, her son’s school’s PTA, and Jewish Federation. In her (little) free time, she enjoys sailing, cooking, and traveling with her family.
