Description:

Mayleidys “May” Porraspita, is a family law attorney in South Florida and has been practicing law for 15 years. She is the founder of Porraspita Law Group and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator in Family Law, Circuit Civil and County.

Ms. Porraspita approaches all her cases in a non-adversarial style attempting to resolve disputes out-of-court in order to provide families the best chance at having civil and productive interactions after the divorce case has been finalized.

After years of litigated practice, Ms. Porraspita has seen first hand the devastation that a litigious divorce brings upon a family. She has committed to a better route utilizing collaborative solutions such as mediation, amicable/uncontested divorce and collaborative divorce. She implements a similar approach to post judgment issues regarding child support and time-sharing.

A native of South Florida, Ms. Porraspita received a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Florida International University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.  She is fully bilingual and often conducts her mediations fully in Spanish.

In her free time, Ms. Porraspita enjoys traveling, hiking and spending time with her husband and their four children.
