AJ Skogerson loves laughter, big ideas and any kind of new adventure, big or small. She is also an attorney, mediator, educator, content creator and law firm consultant. In 2017, AJ and her now law partner Andrea McGinn combined forces to co-found The Law Shop by Skogerson McGinn LLC – Iowa’s first private practice law firm offering and providing exclusively unbundled legal services to all clients. The Law Shop has quickly become a leader in helping to show the world that providing high quality legal services on a limited scope basis increases access to justice for all AND vastly improves the well-being of lawyers in a multitude of ways. With nearly 20 years of experience working with clients, attorneys, judges, courts, and law schools as well as professional and community organizations, AJ’s approach to life and business is compassionate, organized and straightforward. Her workspace, whether in person or online, is custom designed to provide comfort and direction during difficult times. Whether handling a family law matter, guiding a public utility on a construction project, conducting a professional skills workshop, or volunteering in the community, AJ strives to be a positive light and a source of help and encouragement for all involved.
