Rebecca Fischer is an accomplished Collaborative family law attorney who practices exclusively in areas of law affecting families and children, including probate, guardianship, trusts and estates.
Ms. Fischer, who is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, was named as a Florida Super Lawyer for the past six years, and she was listed as a Top Rated Lawyer by the Miami Herald in 2015 and 2018.
Ms. Fischer graduated from the University of Redlands in 1979 with Honors, receiving a B.A. in Psychology. She earned her law degree from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 1982, Deans List, and she has been practicing family law for over 20 years.
Ms. Fischer's free time, and professional expertise, is devoted to numerous civic and philanthropic activities, some of which include having served as President of the Broward County Jewish National Fund (JNF) and Broward County AIPAC, member of the AIPAC national board, President of the Florida Region of the Leukemia Society of America, and a member of the UJA National Board of Directors
Currently, Ms. Fischer is the immediate past Chair of Kesher, a school for children with special needs; and immediate past Chair of the JNF Arava and Eliot Region Task Force, and a past member of the Board of the Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options (JAFCO) Children's Ability Center. She also previously volunteered for the Broward County Guardian Ad Litem Program serving as a Guardian Ad Litem for the foster care system.
In her role as lawyer and counselor, Ms. Fischer is an active member of both the Collaborative Family Law Institute (CFLI) in Miami, the International Association of Collaborative Professionals (IACP), and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Ms. Fischer is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator.
Ms. Fischer is a skilled litigator who prefers to work collaboratively in resolving family law issues for both married and same-sex couples who are in the process of separation, dissolution, or post-dissolution matters.
